The Young Men\xe2\x80\x99s Christian Association (YMCA) movement was started in 1844 in London by Mr George Williams and a group of likeminded concerned Christians. It is one of the oldest and largest Movements for youth in the world and now operates in 119 countries, and reaching 58 million people. The YMCA works to bring social justice and peace to young people and their communities, regardless of religion, race, gender or culture.Established in 1902, the YMCA of Singapore is a volunteer-based Christian organisation that seeks to serve and impact all members of the community, regardless of race, language or religion, through programmes, services and enterprises to develop the body, mind and spirit.As a registered charity, YMCA of Singapore champions, challenges, and trains youth with special needs, youth-at-risk, youth volunteers, and leaders to become independent and effective contributors to society through social development, gainful employment, volunteerism, and leadership. YMCA is sustained primarily through social enterprises, including YMCA Education Services and YMCA @ One Orchard, whose surpluses fund its charitable programs.In 2022, YMCA won the Charity Transparency Award (CTA). The Charity Transparency Awards, organised by the Charity Council, recognises charities of good disclosure practices that the Charity Transparency Framework (CTF) recommends.YMCA-Robert Loh Social Service InternshipDr Robert Loh, the first president of the National Council of Social Service, selflessly devoted most of his life championing social causes. His generous funding and support for Social Service Programmes have greatly impacted and inspired our community over the past decades.In honour of Dr Robert Loh, the YMCA-Robert Loh Social Service Internship Programme focuses on grooming like-minded individuals who have the heart to serve, lead and give back to the community. Fuel your interest in the social service sector by joining us through the Programmes Division and be exposed to the variety of programmes that the YMCA offers!The duration of this internship will be 3 \xe2\x80\x93 6 months, and your role will be dependent on the needs of the department which you will be allocated to. Extended internships may be considered based on mutual needs and agreement with the Association.YMCA Youth For Causes (YFC)The YMCA Youth For Causes (YFC) programme is actively seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as interns and enablers. If you have a passion for creating change, empowering young minds, and making a real impact in our community, this is your chance to be part of our dynamic and fun team!At YFC, we believe in the power of youth-led initiatives. We empower young changemakers, aged 15-24, to ignite their passions and champion social causes that matter to them. As an Intern, you will be at the heart of this transformative journey, helping to design, plan and onboard youth onto this programme that brings about positive change in communities.What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

• Ignite Inspiration: Assist in organizing events, school talks and promotional activities that will inspire and fuel the passion of young changemakers.
• Build Connections: Cultivate meaningful relationships with participants, mentors, organizations, and volunteers, creating a supportive network for youth-led initiatives.
• Share Stories: Capture and compile awe-inspiring stories from YFC projects, showcasing the incredible impact that passionate youth can make.

• Passion Personified: A passion for youth development, volunteerism, and community service, coupled with an unwavering commitment to creating a better world.
• People Person: Good interpersonal skills, enjoy connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Organizational Dynamo: Strong organisational and planning skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and solve problems.
• Communication Pro: Effective communication skills across different platforms and levels \xe2\x80\x93 both verbal and written.
• Tech Enthusiast: Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Office. If you\xe2\x80\x99re a graphic designer whiz with skills in Canva, Photoshop and web editing \xe2\x80\x93 even better!
