The Advisor, International Partnerships (Southeast Asia) provides support for the University\'s international partnerships and projects, with a focus on partnerships and strategic projects in the Southeast Asia region. The role will work collaboratively across the international team to support the relationship and operational management of international partnership programs and projects, provide research and analysis on market, due diligence and regulatory matters, coordinate partnership activities and contribute to contract development and compliance management.

The role requires proven partnership management skills and stakeholder management skills with a sound understanding of the international higher education environment with a specific focus on Southeast Asia.

The responsibilities of this role are:

  • Support strategic initiatives to optimise and further develop university\'s global agenda in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region.
  • Support the implementation and development of the Southeast Asia partnerships. Assist with managing the development of partnership agreements including contract negotiations and renewals.
  • Under the direction of the Manager, International Partnerships (Southeast Asia), assist to develop the SEA University\'s Community of Practice and contribute to delivery of identified initiatives of the Community.
  • Contribute to the preparation of advice and guidance on in-country regulatory frameworks and other relevant in-country requirements, and local cultural considerations to support offshore partnership activities.
  • Contribute to the due diligence assessments and development of processes for agreements between the University and partners which support education delivery.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with relevant external stakeholders including international education providers as required and liaise closely with internal stakeholders on matters relating to the development and implementation of international education partnership programs.
  • Provide support with project administration and partner related events and activities.
  • Support the creation of strategic content including briefs, presentations, proposals and reports.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience in partnership relations in an international environment, with a focus on the Southeast Asia region.
  • Experience in partnership management and development of new international partnerships including due diligence, market analysis, and negotiations.
  • Sound interpersonal skills coupled with cultural sensitivity and knowledge to be able to operate independently to achieve desired outcomes in a variety of international contexts, particularly within priority regions.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on written proposals and submissions.
  • Understanding of the tertiary education sector in Australia including an awareness of the breadth of engagement types, including research collaboration.
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • High level skills with office computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, the web and project management tools.
  • Experience studying or working outside of Australia
  • Fluency in a Southeast Asian language will be an asset.
