Initiate and build partnerships with industry partners to develop School of Tourism and Hospitality student internships and employment opportunities locally and internationally.
Provide support and direction in the areas of individual assessment, internship choices, and career-planning & development for students
Facilitate student learning by assisting students to secure appropriate internships to enhance overall academic experience
Conduct site visits to evaluate appropriateness and relevance of internships for students
Implementation of the established internship program
Work collaboratively with faculty and administration to monitor policy and procedures for ensuring the academic quality and integrity of internships
Maintain School\'s social media presence and conduct internship workshops, information programs and related student activities e.g. Student Council
Coordinate and assist other staff with various events and activities (Open house, career fairs, etc.)
Evaluate internship policies and procedures and review the overall effectiveness of internship programs
Requirements:
Minimum of a Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant work experiences.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Words and Excel)
