Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and build partnerships with industry partners to develop School of Tourism and Hospitality student internships and employment opportunities locally and internationally.
- Provide support and direction in the areas of individual assessment, internship choices, and career-planning & development for students
- Facilitate student learning by assisting students to secure appropriate internships to enhance overall academic experience
- Conduct site visits to evaluate appropriateness and relevance of internships for students
- Implementation of the established internship program
- Work collaboratively with faculty and administration to monitor policy and procedures for ensuring the academic quality and integrity of internships
- Maintain School\'s social media presence and conduct internship workshops, information programs and related student activities e.g. Student Council
- Coordinate and assist other staff with various events and activities (Open house, career fairs, etc.)
- Evaluate internship policies and procedures and review the overall effectiveness of internship programs
- Minimum of a Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant work experiences.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Words and Excel)
