OverviewWaters Corporation is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The Food & Environment Marketing team is looking to hire a scientist intern out of our Waters Pacific (Singapore). This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world\'s leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately seven months and the program will commense in 2025.Waters is focused on:Groundbreaking Life-Science Innovation: With our scientific expertise, we aim to solve problems that matter. We contribute to ensuring the safety of food and water, such as precise PFAS measurement, and advancing new materials and technology, including batteries for electric vehicles.ResponsibilitiesDuring your internship you will be working in the Food and Environmental business area based at Singapore and completing a project which will involve:

  • Literature review on assigned topic
  • Planning and conducting laboratory tasks
  • Analyse samples on liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry
  • Build chemical compounds library for key instrumentation
  • Presenting results both internally and externally to key stakeholders
  • Assist in development of marketing materials or activities
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation

  • Final year student of Bachelor degree in science disciplines
  • Good fundamental base in Chemistry, Agricultural/ Environmental Chemistry or Food Chemistry.
  • Background knowledge in analytical instrumentation and chemical preparation preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Open to interns with the right to live and work in Singapore.
