We are looking for a
curious, detail-oriented, and motivated individual
to join us as an Invention Harvester Trainee. This is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to enter the world of intellectual property and innovation management. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop the skills needed to identify, document, and help protect groundbreaking ideas.
As an Invention Harvester Trainee, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Attending and preparing for meetings with inventors
Supporting inventors in clearly communicating their ideas
Asking clarifying questions to fill in knowledge gaps
Translating drawings and sketches into structured, written descriptions
Creating technical illustrations or concept visuals
Identifying and capturing the essence of inventions
Conducting review sessions with inventors and updating documentation accordingly
Finalizing detailed explanations and visuals for documentation purposes
Supporting innovation and procurement managers with coordination, freelance communication, and file organization
Assisting in reviewing invention disclosures and summarizing technical content
Helping organize and facilitate invention mining sessions
Supporting novelty evaluations and prior art research
Maintaining internal documentation and IP data management systems
Collaborating with attorneys and technical teams to monitor idea development and filing opportunities
Requirements
Technical Aptitude
Background in science or engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, biotech, computer science, physics)
Eagerness to explore diverse technical domains
