Accendo is a group of young and established finance and investment enthusiasts. We aim to promote finance literacy and investment know-hows to the younger generation. We are strong believers of FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early). We believe that holistic financial literacy is not only about wealth protection and should also comprise of investment knowledge and products literacy.

In this program, we tie up with different experts such as business consultants, investment fund houses and even robo advisers to understand the different wealth accumulation products/tools and how to create different streams of income and to achieve financial independence



Investment Advisory Insights Program + Social Media Researchers / Presentators - Fresh Grads / Current Grads / Fresh Ord / Experienced Welcome

We are looking for suitable candidates for our insights program. Depending on the demographics of the participants, shortlisted candidates may choose to commence immediately or during summer breaks

There will be multiple intakes for each of these 3 programs scheduled as follows:

September 2022

November 2022

December 2022 to Feb 2023

The program is suitable for the following demographics:

- Undergrads who are looking for a part-time flexible program to gain insights into the investment analysis, advisory, compliance, or business consultancy (with focus on employee benefits and corporate solutions) roles

- Undergrads looking for a summer/ adhoc program to hone their skills and upgrade their knowledge in these areas

- Individuals awaiting matriculation in 2023

- Individuals already in the workforce looking for finance/investment-related programs to improve literacy in these areas

This opening is an opportunity for individuals who have a strong interest in investment/finance/analysis/clientele presentation

This is a holistic program consisting of 3 areas - 1) Regulatory requirements & compliance 2) Analysis and presentation and 3) Clientele Facing/advisory. Some of these training are conducted by our independent working partners

Regulatory requirements and compliance

Shortlisted candidates will attend talks and seminars (which may be conducted virtually) by an investment lawyer to understand the regulatory and compliance aspect of certain investment products. This may be helpful for candidates who are keen to understand some of the compliance functions in an investment setting/for candidates who are exploring compliance roles upon graduation to seek some insights into the industry. This is useful for candidates who wish to pursue a holistic understanding of investment products, starting from the regulatory/compliance requirements

Investment insights

Shortlisted candidates will also be mentored over a few sessions in areas such as

- Using leverages in business

- Using leverages in sophisticated investment strategies to create additional income/capital growth

- Passive Income Generation

- Active Income

- Understanding Robo investing

- Visits and network with 3 to 5 renowned fund managers' offices

- Visits to investment platforms offices

- Understanding estate planning strategies and tools

Clientele Advisory/Front Facing/Clientele presentation/ Portfolio construction roles

Shortlisted candidates will be chosen for front-facing roles, which will further hone the understanding of the advisory process in investment and will undergo intensive investment products training including equity-based structured products, bonds and etc

Front-facing roles may include wealth management advisory for clients from different demographics/segments

Candidates will learn how to construct portfolios for clients using sophisticated investment/wealth planning products and solutions

Upon selection after interview, shortlisted candidates will be offered a remuneration scheme package

Social Media researchers

As part of our efforts to promote financial literacy including topics such as investments products (UTs/Leveraged Annuities/Structured Products/ Options/etc), we are looking for suitable interns to help research into various topics and consolidate the findings/research into simple snippets for mass publications. Interns will be divided into 2 groups: researchers or presenters in this trial project.
