Position Overview

• Investment Analyst role within the Asia private equity / venture capital team. This hire is expected to play a key role in all aspects of our private equity fund investments and also support on co-investment transactions in the regions of India, SEA and developed Asia. There will also be collaboration with the broader Asia team. This is a career track role with the opportunity for advancement within our Asia investment practice group.
• The role would be based out of Singapore.

Job specification

• Support execution of investment due diligence of investment opportunities in private equity /or venture capital funds and co-investments, encompassing research, assessment, valuation and modelling of various transaction types.
• Conduct industry research and develop market and sector insights relevant to covered geographies
• Drive transaction assessment including secondary and primary research, comps comparison, valuation modelling
• Support preparation of investment recommendations to the Schroders Capital Investment Committee
• Support development of relationships with industry participants, including fund managers and advisors
• Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material
• Support portfolio monitoring of co-investments, preparation of quarterly reports and investment updates for Schroders Capital investors

Desired profile

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university combined with a postgraduate training (CFA or CAIA)
• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree / MBA would be preferred, but not a mandatory pre-requisite
• Financial investment experience with minimum 2 years working in direct private equity or venture capital investing, investment banking, transaction advisory (due diligence) or corporate finance
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modelling, financial analysis, and valuation
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation)
• An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy
• A high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and attention to detail
