Your role
Are you a proactive problem solver who thrives on providing superior client service? We're looking for someone like that who can:

• be a member of an investment banking team focused on providing capital advisory services to general partners - investing in private equity, venture, real estate, credit, infrastructure across Asia Pacific
• perform due diligence on prospective general partners including assessment of the team and platform, investment strategy, process, and track record
• contribute to the formulation and presentation of internal memos to the global committee based on the team's due diligence and analysis
• support the team by preparing private placement memorandums, developing financial models, and producing marketing presentations
• help to negotiate terms of engagement with prospective general partners, organize discussions, and lead new client on-boarding procedures
• assist with internal projects such as producing country / sector studies, business origination pipelines and maintaining market intelligence on the private equity landscape
• represent the PFG in establishing, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with general partners, limited partners, and other industry participants to assist in marketing UBS

Your team
As a member of the Private Funds Group (PFG), you'll be working in the Alternative Capital Group ("ACG") within Global Banking, providing global advisory services for private fund sponsors and their investors. In this role you will gain in depth knowledge on industry sectors and clients, and work alongside a team providing comprehensive advisory services. You'll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including primary capital raises and secondary market solutions.
Your expertise

• Ideally bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, law, business administration, accounting, or a related field
• Ideally 1- 2 years of relevant experience. Exposure to private equity is not required but would be a plus
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to produce accurate and thoughtful deliverables quickly (you get it, and can communicate it to others)
• Comfortable with various software used in finance (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Excel, PowerPoint, Preqin, ThomsonOne, Word, etc.)
• A resilient team player, even in challenging circumstances, and capable of working effectively with third party stakeholders
• A consistent demonstrator of our three keys to success: our Pillars, Principles, and Behaviours and be willing to travel extensively
