We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Investment Strategist - South East Asia & India.

Principal Responsibilities

Expand CIO Coverage and Offering for GPB & Wealth in Southeast Asia and India

• Support CIO Southeast Asia to build up ASEAN and India research and publication capabilities. Focus to enhance CIO content creation for business scalability of both GPB and Wealth across ASEAN and India
• Lead content creation and expansion of Southeast Asia and South Asia investment strategy coverage and market research, supporting business requirements of Singapore Booking Centre, Thailand onshore and new launch of GPB India onshore business. Meet new service requirements of key Wealth centres including India, Malaysia and Indonesia
• Support CIO Southeast Asia to develop onshore investment process and content offering for the new GPB India business
• Enhance commercialization of CIO content by increasing client-facing presence in marketing events and client meetings across Southeast Asia and India
• Enhance the current multimedia and digital CIO marketing collaterals to promote CIO house views and raise penetration of High Conviction Themes. Enhance the digital CIO offering through client webinars, video recordings, podcasts, and social media

Contribute to Investment Process of GPB & Wealth Southeast Asia and India

• Support CIO Southeast Asia to develop multi-asset investment strategies for Southeast Asia and Indian markets across all asset classes
• Leverage internal and external research resources to conduct top-down financial market and industry research on Southeast Asia and India that contributes to the Asia Regional Investment Committee\xe2\x80\x99s weekly and monthly investment processes
• Contribute to content creation for the Daily, Weekly and Monthly Investment Insights, and Asia Perspectives for GPB Asia
• Anchor and buttress the investment process of GPB Singapore for ICs and RMs, by developing successful investment strategies and High Conviction Themes across all asset classes to meet investment needs of clients of the Singapore Booking Centre
• Drive cross-asset collaboration with Product Teams in steering High Conviction Products fulfilment planning, product ideas generation and investment performance tracking and analysis in support of delivery of investment revenue growth targets
• Work closely with Advisory Team to support development of the BlackRock-Aladdin Advisory Platform and delivery of Prism Advisory to clients of Singapore Booking Centre in alignment with the GIC TAA/SAA framework

Delivery of Single House View for Wealth across Southeast Asia and India

• Lead the WMT CIO implementation by deploying WPB CIO content and SAA/TAA capability for the wider WPB client segments in Southeast Asia and India across the full continuum of Wealth
• Help to provide Wealth RM training and investment education on top themes and product fulfillment ideas
• Work with Global and Regional CIO Office and local Wealth Insights teams to centralize and coordinate production of macro contents and enhance the collaboration in multimedia delivery and digital marketing of CIO content through publications, podcasts, videos, social media and Wealth events
• Support to centralize content production process and standardize presentation templates to enhance alignment of look and feel and format to achieve scalable centralized digital content management for GPB and Wealth business in Southeast Asia and India

Support Deployment of WPB ESG Programme in Southeast Asia and India

• Support CIO Southeast Asia to enhance sustainability thought leadership in Southeast and India in alignment with WPB ESG Programme and HSBC Group\xe2\x80\x99s Sustainable Finance Strategy
• Support implementation of High Conviction ESG themes and sustainability education initiatives for clients and Frontline across GPB and Wealth in Southeast Asia and India
• Support delivery of WPB sustainable investment AUM growth and penetration targets via cross-asset collaboration with Singapore IWS Product Teams for the ESG products fulfilment planning and product ideas generation

Requirements

• Over 10 years of investment and research experience, preferably in Private Banking and Wealth Management industry
• University degree in Business, Economics or Finance, Master degree is an advantage
• CFA qualification is not mandatory but a merit
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse team and engage in collaboration
• Strong quantitative skills with prior experience in maintaining macro and market database

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting.
