What the role is:ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute is inviting PhD scholarship applications for the following areas of study: Economics, History, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Anthropology, and other relevant social sciences subjectsWhat you will be working on:Terms of Awards: \xe2\x80\xa2 The scholarship is tenable at reputable universities overseas or in Singapore \xe2\x80\xa2 Tuition and other compulsory fees \xe2\x80\xa2 Monthly maintenance allowance \xe2\x80\xa2 Conference/Fieldwork allowance \xe2\x80\xa2 Medical insurance \xe2\x80\xa2 Return air passage (if applicable) \xe2\x80\xa2 Preliminary expenses \xe2\x80\xa2 Successful candidates will serve a five-year bond with ISEAS following the completion of their studiesWhat we are looking for:Eligibility: Candidates shoul (a) Be Singapore citizens; (b) Have consistently good academic records; and (c) Be prepared to carry out applied and policy-related research on Southeast Asia. (d) Preference will be given to candidates who have already been accepted for admission into reputable universities. Requirements Interested applicants must submit i) a cover letter, ii) full CV, iii) sample of academic writing, iv) three letters of reference, v) educational certificates and transcripts, vi) a research proposal including a statement on why it is important to ISEAS, and vii) a passport-sized photograph.
