Overview Reporting to the IT Team Lead, the general duties and responsibilities of the IT Analyst are to administer and to oversee the daily operations of Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archival Communication System (PACS), EPIC NGEMR System and its components in the Diagnostic Imaging department. The candidate is expected to upkeep and ensure that the applications are working in requirements with departmental and operational needs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Duties and Responsibilities The IT Analyst responsibilities will include managing operational integrity, development of efficient workflows, supporting operational processes and be the focal point for users to turn to when consultation is required. The candidate will assist the Team Lead on the following duties:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of RISPACS, NGEMR system and Diagnostic Imaging equipment to users
  • After training, you will have
    Knowledge of RIS / PACS IT functions for all user groups in Diagnostic Imaging (SAs, Radiographers and Radiologists). The candidate is expected to:Perform image amendment requests
    Perform daily administration of PACS application and RIS modules, maintaining system and data integrity.
    Perform duty for PACS on call to provide 24/7 support on a rotational basis
  • Knowledge of EPIC NGEMR for radiographers’ user group in Diagnostic Imaging. The candidate is expected toPerform escalation when required
    Request for review/change when necessary
  • After training on Medical Imaging Equipment (modality), the candidate will be expected to:
  • Perform modality integration for new/existing equipment to hospital network and RISPACS system
    Conduct Risk Assessment for existing and new modalities and ensure IT Security compliance
  • Assist the department in IT Procurement, which entails working with IT department, vendors, buyers and end-user group.Handle RFP and SRF documentation for procurement of medical imaging devices, hardware and services for IT projects
  • Review system and clinical workflow procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Project managementPerform requirements gathering, conduct Gap Analysis, execute UATs, sign off documents and ensure deployment for IT Systems related to Diagnostic Imaging. These are often involved with cross functional teams. Manage project issues and risks to ensure deliverables are on track
    Prepare and maintain documentation related to project management, downtime procedures and user manuals
  • Conduct system/component training for applications when required.
  • Manage stakeholders and serve as a liaisonCommunication with vendors for effective vendor management
    Communication with department (team/leads/HOD) for effective operations management
  • Data and AnalysisPerform monthly data analysis for management reporting
    Perform and analyze ad hoc data requests as when required

Requirements
  • Degree holder, preferably in Information Technology / Business IT / Health Informatics or equivalent, with 2 to 3 years of working experience
  • Knowledge of RISPACS systems and associated components (DICOM, HL7 and its interfaces) is preferred but not necessary
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to liaise with different groups of stakeholders
  • Experience in healthcare environment is an added advantage preferably with some knowledge of radiology related workflow.
