Context

The Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit is the fully integrated trading arm of the ENGIE Group. GEMS teams manage a large and highly diversified energy portfolio, including electricity, natural gas, biomass, LNG and other fuels, CO2 and environmental products, and provide a range of trading risk management solutions to all types of market participants in Europe, Asia and in the US. GEMS manages the B2B supply business within ENGIE, including supply contracts and Power Purchase Agreements.

Within the GEMS Business Unit, the Singapore-based Business Platform (BP) APAC, Australia & New Zealand and LNG are managing and developing the group\xe2\x80\x99s trading activities for these regions around 4 main pillars: risk management and market access, asset management, green solutions and energy supply businesses.

In order to pursue its development, GEMS is developing and rolling out various transformation projects such as Algo Trading, Gemstone (Front to Accounting trading chain) using Orchestrade, eBusiness development \xe2\x80\xa6

GEMS APAC is looking for a IT APPLICATION SUPPORT Officer, to improve the reliability of the existing systems, and support the development of the new systems. The role is based in Singapore & reporting to Team Lead GEMS APAC IS Functional. It requires many interactions with the teams in Europe. Business trips to Europe may be required from time to time

As a member of the IT team in Singapore, the IT application support officer is also expected to contribute to the cohesion of the IT team.

Role

The main missions are :
  • Ensure system stability and run continuity for the full system (services, batches, etc\xe2\x80\xa6 running in Europe or Singapore)
  • Administrating vendor-based trading platform (Accesses, Order Routing, Limits, Broker connections, etc.)
  • Provide support to the users on the application perimeter: Pre-trade/Pricing \xe2\x80\x93 Trade Life Cycle \xe2\x80\x93 Post Trade/Greeks/V@r/Valo.
  • Share relevant information with support and development teams in Paris & Brussels
Key missions
  • Production monitoring
  • Monitor the global IT platform and execute the associated action when alerts are raised.
  • Process (analyze, solve, document) incidents.
  • Coordinate incidents resolution with Paris teams when necessary (for instance with infrastructure teams or on-duty people)
  • Maintain monitoring systems and continuously share ideas to improve its effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in the writing or enhancement of operational procedures (in link with the monitoring alerts)
  • Engage in FTS (Follow-the-Sun) model with Europe, including information sharing and tasks handover
  • Follow up on the evolution of the IT platform (release) and adapt monitoring tools and procedures
  • Support to users
  • Process local user support requests (configurations, assistance,\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Collect regularly user feed-backs on system Run Quality and share it with development teams
  • Transversal
  • Enrich the backlog of problems (source of recurring incidents), including description, impact/recurrence/priority,\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Self-organize continuous learning on the IS systems and landscape
  • Manage the IT part of the Singapore Business Continuity Plan
  • Share improvement ideas with Business Analyst
About YOU

  • Experience and knowledge about Trading and/or portfolio management processes. Derivatives Commodities is a plus.
