The Compliance and Risk Management team ensures that Shopee complies with applicable regulations and is primed for success with the right checks and balances while safeguarding the interests of our stakeholders in an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem. The team manages potential risks to the company's operations and reputation through risk assessments, internal fraud control, employee training as well as the implementation of information technology policy and cyber security tools.

The IT Compliance team acts as the organization's "IT doctors," partnering with business teams to deliver technological solutions that enhance Shopee's user experience. A key focus is ensuring our product solutions meet regulatory standards by obtaining necessary certifications, achieved through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This process not only ensures compliance but also provides the team with a deep understanding of regional business landscapes and cross-functional collaboration, enabling us to drive long-term, impactful solutions as the organization grows.

Support the reviews and assessments of IT controls, including but not limited to access controls, change management, hardening and system configurations Assist in the implementation of cyber security and information technology risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes Collaborate with business, operations, engineering, security and infrastructure teams on ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations across Cyber and IT domains

Requirements:

Final-year or penultimate students currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, information systems, cybersecurity or related disciplines are highly desirable. Strong interest / experience in the following technology categories: + Information Security
+ Infrastructure Security
+ Application and Data Security
+ CI/ CD, containerization security
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to stakeholders effectively Resourceful, able to work independently and able to adapt in a dynamic environment Full-time interns preferred * Part-time interns who can commit at least 3 working days a week are also welcome to apply
