Company Description

Sofitel Singapore City Centre, an iconic hotel which opens in October 2017 will form part of a mixed-use development at Tanjong Pagar Centre, a multi-billion dollar development, which will become Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s tallest building at 290 meters set around landscaped parkland and direct MRT station access.

The 223-room Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer chic designed rooms, 4 Food and Beverage options, a ballroom, and several meeting rooms, fitness and pool facilities.



IT management :

  • Develop and maintain Hotel software property management system, ensuring that it functions smoothly without interruption to the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s daily computer operation.
  • Develop expertise on all software and hardware used in hotel.
  • Update, upgrade and maintain all hardware on an on-going basis.
  • Train and re-train hotel Front Office and F&B ambassadors in utilizing new and existing computer systems and related Software applications.
  • When needed, standby in operational areas to ensure a smooth computer operation and immediate rectification in the event of a glitch.
  • Assist to solve IT issues promptly at the operations and guest service.
  • Ensure that system security is up-to-date, and maintained at all times;
  • Stay current on all changes in computing technology.
  • Maintain and test all current and future cabling.
  • Actively participate in the annual budget and capex process for the Hotel
  • Extra working hours will be required to ensure system reliability.
  • Liaise with computer suppliers for maintenance, support service and computer supplies.
  • Responsible for hotel systems upgrade.
  • Assist in the processing of data and correcting errors as required.
  • Ensure that all in-house guests\xe2\x80\x99 Internet requests are solved promptly.
  • Conduct frequent spot checks to ensure that all users adhere to rules of hotel, any prohibited programmes will be cancelled promptly.
  • Promote and encourage the use of Quality process to resolve issues which may arise.
Project Management :
  • Lead project team and planning sessions
  • Coordinate the team members and internal resources
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines
  • Manage relationships among vendors, project team and stakeholders
  • Meet with vendors to provide specifications and understand project design, timing, deliverables, leading to contract endorsement.
  • Participate in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
  • Apply for grant support if applicable.
  • Develop and manage project gantt chart
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Design risk mitigation plan
  • Conduct project review and create detailed reports for executive reporting
  • Optimize and improve processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Secure growth opportunities and initiate new projects
  • Perform other common duties as may be assigned by the management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology, 5 star luxury environment preferred.
  • Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.
  • Initiates contact and establishes rapport easily.
  • Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress.
  • Has the ability and willingness to undertake further development.
  • Formal qualifications in Information Technology / Business Administration to at least Diploma level.
  • Exceptional people and communication skills
  • The highest level of attention to detail
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams
