Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users and ensure the smooth running of computers and network devices
- Responsible for hardware and software installation, upgrade, and maintenance (ie. system backup, applying latest system patches, software upgrades and hardware troubleshooting).
- Provide system administration and helpdesk/desktop support for end-users.
- Ensure the organization’s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
- Troubleshooting network and software issues.
- Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Responding to general IT requests.
- Communicate with clients to identify their requirements and ensure their needs are met
- Oversee the training of junior IT engineers and other IT staff to improve job skills and work efficiency
- Conduct inspections to ensure IT systems and equipment are operational
