The Role

Position summary statement:

The incumbent\'s role is responsible for supporting end users\' technology needs. The primary focus is on ensuring that end users have reliable, efficient and secure access to the technology tools and business applications to perform their job functions effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end users in addressing their hardware, software, hotel IT applications and connectivity issues. Resolve problems in a timely and effective manner. Collaborate and communicate with end users on IT updates, changes, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendor on the support of various IT systems such as property management system (PMS), point of sale (POS) and hotel cloud-based applications.
  • Procure, configure, deploy, and manage end-user devices such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets, work phones, and peripherals. Install and maintain operating systems, hotel IT business applications, security solutions and carry out regular security updates and patches.
  • Adhere to cybersecurity policy to protect end-user devices, data and systems from threats such as malware and unauthorized access. Deploy unified endpoint management, endpoint detection response, data loss prevention solutions and new security solutions to protect end user devices.
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding i.e account provisioning and deprovisioning. Create user accounts, including access permissions, passwords, and security settings in accordance to procedure and standards. \xe2\x80\x8bEnsure secure access to resources in accordance to PPHG cybersecurity policy.
  • Liaise with vendor on the installation, configuration and maintenance of hotel business applications used by end users. Manage data backup and recovery for end-user devices and ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Follow IT service management (ITSM) best practice for incident and problem management, ensuring proper documentation, resolution, and root cause analysis for recurring issues. Contribute to knowledge base.
Talent Profile
  • Minimum Diploma in Information Technologu
  • Possess a minimum of 1 year of IT end user computing experience
  • Knowledge in IT Service Management
  • Knowledge in MS Windows Client OS such as Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Knowledge in Hospitality IT systems
  • Knowledge in Basic Security Compliance
  • Good Communication Skills (written and oral)
  • Customer serviced oriented
