Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the daily operations of computer networks and systems to ensure they run efficiently and securely.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software.
• Managing network servers, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and operating smoothly.
• Ensure the internal IT structure of the company remains robust and efficient, handling tasks such as software upgrades, user training, troubleshooting, and network management.
• Serving as administrator for various corporate software systems.
• Deploying and enforcing security policies and procedures, oversee security measures to protect data and manage access controls.
• Provide IT/technical support to employees, resolving any IT-related issues
• Assisting with onboarding of new colleagues.
• Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects.
• Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices.
• Provide training & technical support for systems and networks.
• Act as link between end users and higher level support.
• Monitor system and network performance.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration.
• Performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups)
• Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules.
• Procuring, maintaining, and administering computers and office equipment
• Recommending and implementing improvements in procedures and equipment utilisation.
• Collaborate with and/or manage third party vendors contracts and SLAs to maintain standards and functionality.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc/BA or equivalent in information technology, computer science or IT administration, with networking knowledge.
• Experience as an IT administrator / coordinator or similar role.
• Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration.
• Experience in network management and help desk support is ideal.
• Knowledge of IT systems, applications and remote-control tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Ability to work independently.
