Job Description

What the role is:

ISEAS IT serves the Institute through providing effective and timely IT services and support. In this main role, the team provides helpdesk and technical support to all staff and researchers on desktop computers, devices, software, email, websites, and network/wireless connectivity. In other functions, the IT department develops and maintains IT policies (in compliance with IM8), educate end-users in IT security and desktop applications, as well as assist to administer the door access system and readers. Managing the IT recurrent funds for the entire organisation, IT will also assist in the procurement of IT-related equipment and systems to support the operations and production work of other departments. As always, the team is constantly on the lookout for any existing or emerging technologies to further improve IT services and support, or to enhance user experiences and productivity. The team has also strived to improve IT security awareness of staff through better communication and information dissemination.

What you will be working on:

The intern will be expected to participate in the following tasks: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with asset stock take by physical sightings of the assets and tally with our existing asset records if they match and if they don\'t, to flag out to ITD for further advise and action. \xe2\x80\xa2 Housekeeping of files inside the ITD folders. (To check on all the files/folders if they\'re being used by ITD and separate them out in a different folder respectively and also to archive older files/data that are not in use for 3 years or more) \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist to prepare asset deletion forms if there are no records found in our records of the asset not sighted. \xe2\x80\xa2 And any other tasks requested by ITD. \xe2\x80\xa2 Intern must be available if we need to extend their contract if needed. What we are looking for:

Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Interest in data and records management \xe2\x80\xa2 Willing to learn of IT desktop operation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to carry considerable amount of weight from IT assets which might vary from 1-10kg \xe2\x80\xa2 Motivated self-starter and must possess team spirit and initiative.
