18 July 2024We are seeking a skilled Operations Engineer with a passion for IT and a proactive, can-do attitude. In this role, you will manage IT services, mitigate risks, improve systems, and upgrade platforms.Mandatory Skill(s)

• Degree in computer science, Information technology and related discipline;
• Proficiency in common programming languages (Java, C++, Python);
• At least 5+ years of IT Operations experience;
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies;
• Expertise in Springboot Microservices, Openshift (Kubernetes), REST, Kafka, MQ, and Service Discovery;
• Familiarity with SRE tools like Grafana and Prometheus;
• Proficiency with Oracle Database and CI/CD tools;
• Experience with Kubernetes, Openshift, and Docker;

Desirable Skill(s)

• Knowledge of integration tools such as JMS, MQ, Kafka, File Transfer, and S3;
• Experience with IT risk management and incident management processes;

Responsibilities

• Manage IT service and risk management processes;
• Implement system improvements and platform upgrades;
• Conduct decommissioning activities as required;
• Support the platform, comprising Springboot microservices on Openshift (Kubernetes);
• Serve as a role model for IT service management and advocate for Agile methodologies and our company culture;
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the IT operations team;
• Develop and maintain documentation for operational procedures and troubleshooting guidelines;
• Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues proactively;
• Develop and implement performance metrics and reporting systems to track and improve operational efficiency;
• Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures;
• Conduct regular tests and simulations to ensure readiness for potential disruptions;
• Coordinate with business continuity teams to align IT operations with overall continuity plans;
