Job Description


Demonstrates increased application of specialized professional knowledge and skills. Applies diverse specialized standards, methods, policies, procedures, practices, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Possesses a general understanding of local, regional, department, division, function/BE and corporate policies, procedures and practices.

  • Independently provides solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Administer and maintain the regional Backup System.
  • Administer and maintain the SAN and VMWare environment.
  • Manage and maintain all networking devices (routers, switches, firewall, VPN switch, etc.)
  • Understands and can independently implement and ensure site adherence to IT policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements; Decisions are reviewed for sound judgement, adequacy, quality, relevance, and accuracy. Applies specialized analytical and technical skills and communications within assigned area.
  • Work with cross-functional team to provide first class IT services across the region.
  • Responsible for limited accounts, services or scope of deliverables, or portions of a larger project. Contributes to results or milestone completion. Failures may cause schedule or program delays that can easily be remediated by others.
  • Primary interface is at a similar level and across limited functions, and/or may be external. Leadership contacts are limited except for routine matters where primary purpose is to collect, convey, or explain information or actions. Advice/Degree of influence are limited; generally carries out decisions made by others.
  • Receives indirect supervision; solves routine to moderately complex problems with latitude to independently select methods and resources. Told “what”, “when” and “why”, is expected to know “how” and “who”.
Prerequisites
  • Degree in Computer Science / IT / Computer Engineering or other equivalent training certifications/qualifications.
  • 4 - 7 years of related working experience, preferably in network and server administration.
  • Must have experience as Desktop Support Specialist.
  • Knowledge in Application Development Life Cycle, Collaboration tools (Sharepoint).
  • High degree of knowledge in Microsoft Office products and operating systems.
  • Working knowledge in integrated ERP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of programming softwares including Database Administration, SQL, etc.
  • Working knowledge of VoIP Phone Systems.
  • A working knowledge with Symantec NetBackup and Symantec Service Desk is a plus.
  • Working independently, applies a thorough and wide scope of theories, principles, practices, and concepts within the field of specialization. May coordinate projects of limited to moderate scope.
  • Troubleshoots a variety of problems referred by management or less experienced staff, and independently applies broad-based knowledge, methods, skills and techniques to quickly and creatively solve complex problems.
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in Emailing Platforms.
  • IT Audit experience would be advantageous.
  • CCNA / CCNP / MCSE 2003 preferred.
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skill.
  • Demonstrated ethical behavior and professionalism in inter-department and customer contact.
