Job Description

We are looking for an Application / Operation Support Engineer to join our dynamic team, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of significant government applications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 and L2 support for application systems, ensuring smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate issues related to SQL queries, batch jobs, and file interfaces.
• Respond promptly to production emergencies and perform root cause analysis.
• Conduct incident and change request management, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
• Work closely with vendors, database administrators, and system engineers for troubleshooting.
• Perform UAT testing for production bug fixes and new change requests.
• Assist in documentation of enhancements and service requests.
• Provide end-user support, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of professional IT experience focusing on operational support and system maintenance.
• At least 5 years of experience with SQL queries, batch jobs, and file interfaces.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Good understanding of incident and change request management.
