To ensure success as sr IT Senior Software Engineer you should have extensive experience in analytics, coding, technical design and high-level problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will work closely with business units, subject matter experts and technical resources to understand requirements, create technical designs, perform coding, create documentation and assisting to validate the quality of the code.

Determining operational feasibility of solution designs by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
Determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
May manage small team of software engineers by providing advice, coaching, mentoring, and assisting to resolve complex technical or design issues. Job Requirements
Develop and optimize database structures, store procedures, dynamic management views, DDL triggers and user define functions.
Develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions for the application, according to business requirements in UNIX and windows environments.
Modify, maintain and develop PL/SQL codes for new customer requirements which involve cursors, functions, procedures triggers and collections.
Perform data modeling and create/maintain and modify complex database triggers and data migration scripts.
Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
Hands on development using Oracle PL/SQL.
Performance tune SQL's, application programs and instances.
Evaluation of new and upcoming technologies.
Providing technical assistance, problem resolution and troubleshooting support. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Business or related field (completed and verified prior to start).
8 years experience as applications developer in private, public, government, or military environments - (large and small projects).
8 years experience with PL/SQL development
5+ years of experience with oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning
Experience in subversion tools, SVN version management to manage various versions of the procedures and functions of the application
Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Understand all aspects of software development lifecycle.
Understand various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc). Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience with PowerBuilder2021
Lean/Six Sigma Green belt (or other process improvement disciplines).
Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills across technical and senior operational management audiences.
Experience with Oracle DB and PL/SQL.
Java and/or .Net application development excperience
Strong experience in integration components such as web services, frameworks etc.
Experience using J2EE, XML, Java, JSP etc.
Knowledge of web technologies such as Javascript, CSS, HTML5 etc.
Familiar with various IT and PM tools - JIRA, RTC etc.
Healthcare Order to Cash experience (preferred)
Agile methodologies
ITIL certified (preferred)
Proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
UI/UX Design and Development.
Oracle EBS, PL/SQL, Data Analysis, .NET, Content Management Systems and Engineering.
Cloud (AWS/Azure), SaaS / PaaS Support and Engineering, CI/CD.
The IT Senior Software Engineer serves as the primary PL/SQL developer of new application systems. You will be involved with all aspects of software and product lifecycle management for the Medical Solutions Division of 3M.
