We are seeking a skilled and driven IT Solutions Consultant specializing in Middleware Technologies to support integration projects and IT transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analysing business needs, designing middleware solutions, integrating systems and platforms, and ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable operations across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Middleware System Integration
Develop and implement middleware platforms, including IBM DataPower and API Connect.
Use APIs, JSON, and XML to facilitate system interoperability.
Execute provisioning, configuration, testing, and deployment across Windows and Linux environments.
Support UAT and Go-Live activities.
2.
Business and Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with business users to gather integration requirements and translate them into actionable system specifications.
Participate in meetings, document user needs, create meeting minutes, and ensure alignment between technical design and business expectations.
Provide regular communication and updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Align integration work with business priorities and technical constraints.
Participate in discussions that influence technical planning and solution delivery.
3.
Infrastructure Support
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for middleware systems
Provision and configure middleware components on Windows/Linux
Ensure secure and optimal connectivity using TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Perform system diagnostics and troubleshoot integration or connectivity issues.
Escalate unresolved issues according to the defined escalation procedure and follow through to resolution.
Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
Design and develop high-availability middleware systems, with consideration for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) planning.
4.
System Performance
Monitor integration points and maintain the performance of middleware and related infrastructure.
Respond to alerts, logs, and incidents; ensure timely resolution to meet agreed SLAs.
Manage support tickets by tracking queues, escalating issues when necessary, maintaining resolution documentation, and ensuring timely response and closure in accordance with SLA targets.
5.
Security and Compliance
Enforce endpoint protection, monitor for vulnerabilities, and support remediation activities.
Participate in data breach and incident management procedures in alignment with PDPA and organizational compliance frameworks.
Enforce secure access controls, apply patches, and manage system hardening.
Monitor vulnerabilities and support compliance with security policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing technical evidence.
6.
Documentation
Document user requirement and maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, design decisions, issue logs, and recovery procedures.
Prepare and update user guides, SOPs, and project-related documentation.
7.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in system upgrades and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Identify and recommend automation opportunities or performance enhancements for integration flows.
Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously seek opportunities for growth.
Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions led by experienced team members
Utilise company?funded certification support for role?relevant exams -- reimbursement granted upon passing, with prior approval and adherence to company policy.
8.
Organisational Outreach
Contribute technical input to system architecture and middleware strategy development.
Participate in solution planning discussions to ensure technical feasibility and strategic alignment.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing through content creation
Participate in team-building activities to foster collaboration and a strong team culture.
Support performance reviews and continuous improvement through feedback collected from internal stakeholders and external customers.
Performance will be reviewed based on achievement of agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and structured feedback collected from internal stakeholders, peers, and external customers.
Participate in management procedures and organisational compliance frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
3 years of hands-on experience in IT system or infrastructure support roles.
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and desktop operating systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and backup tools.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and system hardening practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certification in one or more of the following is a plus: Windows Server / Azure Fundamentals / Administrator Associate /Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)/ ITIL Foundation.
