About the role:
As a developer in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions within demanding timeframes. Working within a dynamic global team, you will collaborate with various business and technical experts across multiple locations. Your position as a trusted senior developer within the team will provide the opportunity to leverage your expertise in designing, developing, and supporting risk management systems.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions adhering to industry and bank standards.
• Produce efficient and concise code, accompanied by comprehensive test suites.
• Ensure seamless integration of software into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process.
• Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, and risk functions to drive successful project outcomes.
• Demonstrate an exemplary level of expertise in development, with a focus on investment banking IT.
• Exhibit strong proficiency in Java, while possessing experience in functional programming languages such as Scala or Haskell would be advantageous.
• Leverage your architectural and engineering knowledge to deliver large-scale data processing systems built on Oracle.
• Utilize your comprehensive understanding of financial markets to design intelligent and scalable solutions aligned with industry and bank standards.
• Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills, proactively addressing challenges and devising innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on development experience in Java, with any experience in Scala or Haskell highly regarded as well as proven track record in end-to-end design and development work will be crucial to the success of this role
• Robust background in Oracle development, with knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters will be a bonus
• Familiarity and confidence working within an agile development environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and investment banking, with demonstrated expertise in structured/derivatives business being highly desired.
