Java Developer

Contract - with a view of extension (12 months) Industry : IT Consultant Location : Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the design and development of innovative security solutions aligned with project goals and client requirements. Lead technical solution design, backend development, and component testing to ensure alignment with product specifications. Work closely with product and solution architects to define and maintain the development roadmap. Ensure all development activities comply with the client's software engineering standards and methodologies. Produce thorough and clear documentation to support usability, maintenance, and long-term support. Provide timely technical support to IVVQ teams and assist with system deployment, operations, and 24/7 maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot backend development. Expertise in designing and building scalable microservices-based architectures. Proficient in modern development tools and best practices, including CI/CD, performance tuning, monitoring, and system resiliency. Strong understanding of architectural patterns and software design principles. Experience leading software teams or managing subcontractors is a plus. Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.

Technical Skills:

Programming

: Java, Spring Boot (strong proficiency)

Databases

: Strong experience with relational databases, especially MS SQL

Frontend (Good-to-Have):

Angular, HTML5/CSS, JavaScript

Middleware/Streaming (Good-to-Have):

Apache Kafka

Containerization & Virtualization:

Docker, Kubernetes

Search Technologies:

Elasticsearch (solid understanding required)

Testing (Good-to-Have):

Experience with test automation frameworks for web applications *

DevOps (Good-to-Have):

Experience with CI tools like GitLab CI
