Java Developer

• Working Location: Tanjong Pagar (currently WFH arrangement)
• Working Hours: Mon-Fri

Remuneration Package: Up to $7k (basic) + AWS + bonus (2 months)

Job Brief
We are looking for a Java developer responsible for building Java applications, including anything from back-end services to front end presentation. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7 Develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications and systems integrations required for the operation
\xc2\xb7 Ensure best practices are used throughout the software development life cycle
\xc2\xb7 Actively participate in all aspects of the software development process
\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with other software engineers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications built
\xc2\xb7 Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
\xc2\xb7 Deploy systems to production and provide post-implementation support
\xc2\xb7 Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
\xc2\xb7 Provide maintenance support to customers by investigating and rectifying reported systems shortcomings during/after working hours when necessary
\xc2\xb7 Understand the inter-dependencies of the services (application, system and database) and able to pin-point problem areas accurately to improve overall efficiency
\xc2\xb7 Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties
\xc2\xb7 Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time
\xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
\xc2\xb7 Possess good experience developing web application, Web Forms, micro services and Enterprise Workflows
\xc2\xb7 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, programming with knowledge the following technologies:
o RESTful API architecture
o Java/J2EE, JSP, JSF, Spring Framework (Security, MVC, Cloud, Boot), SOAP, Web Services, Mybatis
o Redis technology (Jedis client), RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, JMS or similar technologies
o HTML5, CSS, JQuery and Ajax
o Tomcat
o Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL
\xc2\xb7 Development tool:
o CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, Jenkins
o Unit testing tools such as JUNIT, spring test
