Your primary responsibilities include:
Prepare various types of coffee and non-coffee beverages according to recipes and tailor to customer preferences, such as adjusting sweetness levels, milk alternatives, and flavourings
Provide friendly, efficient and personalised service to customers
Operate and maintain cleanliness and functionality of coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other tools
Uphold high standards of quality in every aspect of coffee preparation, including coffee bean selection, grinding, tamping, and extraction
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar area, including workstations, serving counters, and dining areas
Adhere to food safety and hygiene set by the government and regulators
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock
Collaborate with other team members, including fellow baristas, kitchen staff, and management on operations
Recommend and upsell of additional menu items, such as pastries, snacks, or merchandise
Stay informed about coffee industry trends, new brewing techniques, and specialty coffee varieties
Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve coffee knowledge and skills
