What the role is:The JTC Xperience (JTCX) is a 6-month Internship Programme for undergraduate students who are interested in full-time internship opportunities during semester term. The JTCX is a structured programme with an option for job rotation after 3 months to increase exposure to JTC\'s work across varied functions within the organisation. Please complete the online form via this link: https://form.gov.sg/65ba109b6e8d7b4cd4509ba8What you will be working on:List of projects: Civil Engineering Discipline 1) Computational BIM for Infra (C&S) works - Review existing infra modelling / design process covering road, drains and sewer design, and identify repetitive tasks for automation through computational BIM -Explore computational BIM using Autodesk Civil3D with Dynamo/Python to automate modelling process for Infra works. -Assist to establish workflow to implement computational BIM for design and modelling work 2) Digitalisation for In- house Building design projects - Assist in building workflows and tools for building design review using JTC\'s Model Content Requirement (MCR) data framework & visualization tools such as JTC\'s Common Data Environment (CDE)\'s Optimus 2\'s BIM viewer, Tableau, etc. - Assist in the recommendations of improvements to JTC\'s MCR to improve design review processes. - Explore the usage of digital tools in automating menial portions of the design, authority submission & Contractor\'s submission review process. 3) Automate C&S Building Design : Computational Design with Programming Approach -Automate design process using programming language/ programme such as excel, grasshopper , Dynamo and C# to generate prelim structural design ( precast concrete, composite steel structure ,etc.) for industrial building. 4) Project Management a. Woodlands North Coast b. Bulim infrastructure c. Punggol Digital District d. New MSE HQ + Integrated Cruise and Ferry Terminal + New MOM Service Centre e. Building and Infrastructure project in JTC Jurong Innovation District 5) Implementation of solar roof programmes/projects in JTC buildings - The study and evaluation of the roof structural design of various JTC buildings/properties for suitability to install solar PV panels on the roof, and development of innovative solarisation solutions/designs for implementing solar PV on building roof with technical constraints - Feasibility study on developing innovative solarisation solutions/designs for unutilised spaces between building roofs, large canals, farms, roads etc. - Project management of various on-going JTC\'s roof solarisation projects including supervising the physical solar PV installation works. 6) Advancing JTC\'s Solarisation Programmes / Projects - Study and evaluate the electrical design of various JTC buildings/properties for suitability to install solar PV panels. - Collaborate with Civil & Structural Department engineers and assist in managing the feasibility study on innovative design and implementation solutions to enable solarisation of roof and building facade wall with technical constraints and authority compliances. 7) Reclamation - Participate in the planning, design management and tenders of land reclamation, construction management at site; learn the contractual aspects in construction projects. - Explore construction Innovation ideas and work on specific construction-related topics eg improving construction productivity, cost analysis, safety etc. 8) Road, Drains, Sewers and Underground Infrastructure Projects - Assigned to existing infrastructure projects at various stages to understand and assist in project management - Identify and work on planning, design and construction related issues - Understand contractual matters and effect appropriate solutions - Exploring of innovations in infrastructure projects and understanding of the application to improve construction safety, quality and/or productivity. 9) Holistic Sewer Relief Planning - Sewer Master Plan Development - Data Collation and Analysis - GIS/Interactive Tools Exploration:What we are looking for:Requirements: - Open to all undergraduates studying Built Environment or other relevant disciplines as indicated above - Strong communication & interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders - Ability to work independently and in a team Students are required to indicate their project of interest in their cover letter during application.About JTC Corporation:Master planner.
