Your role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer - Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) to support the APAC ABC program, covering all business divisions in APAC and serve as a member of the Global ABC Team. The global ABC team is responsible for ensuring that UBS has a robust anti-corruption framework. This is an opportunity to contribute to the on-going development of the ABC program.

• act as a key contributing member of the APAC ABC team supporting the ABC APAC framework in areas such as ABC approvals on gifts and entertainment, speakers and experts, potential conflicts of interest with job candidates, charitable donations, memberships, sponsorships, and clients with corruption risks (incl. finders, vendors and/or other third parties)
• participate in global ABC programme initiatives, working with the global ABC team, including change programmes and global programme plan deliverables.
• advise, assess, and counsel cross-divisional business stakeholders on client and transaction related ABC risks
• support in the execution of ABC risk assessments, metrics and reporting and prepare and organize logs for ABC-related escalations
• support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews and Framework enhancements or remediation activities
• act with integrity and as a role model, upholding the UBS values and purpose

Your team

You'll be working within the Global Compliance & Operational Risk Control ("C&ORC") Financial Crime Prevention ("FCP") framework team in Singapore, and will report to the Regional Head of ABC APAC and Global Head of ABC Framework.

Your expertise

The ideal candidate will have a degree in law or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience within a global law firm or financial services institution, regulatory body and/or comparable environment.

You have:

• good understanding of the regulatory environment
• good understanding of the operating business environment in APAC
• strong command of English and Mandarin
• strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• competence in tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Tableau
• confidence to challenge the status quo and demonstrate strong risk awareness
• result-oriented and assertive (you don't shy away from challenging situations)

• flexible, able to multi-task and change directions based on business demands
• team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage conflict and deal with pressure in a positive manner
• able to evaluate different, complex situations and make appropriate and timely decisions
