Job Description

Our Client is a Fortune 500 Company and is one of the largest integrated refiners, marketer of petroleum products and chemical manufacturers in the world.

SCOPE OF WORK

\xc2\xb7 Set up and implement quality assurance systems & tools such as SQC program and manage the associated schedule, material inventory, data compilation and analysis. Provide support as necessary to help with troubleshooting in SQC issues (e.g. outliers, etc).

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate and execute quality assurance systems & tools such as Proficiency Test Programs ensuring timely completion and submission of results and timely analysis of results when reports are released.

\xc2\xb7 Review and update product specifications for product release implementation in LIMS, including process monitoring specifications

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate new analytical equipment for purchase and follow through on the capital expense process till equipment commissioning, including training shift teams on use of the new analytical equipment

\xc2\xb7 Provide support to Lab activities, initiatives and/or projects as needed

\xc2\xb7 Provide timely stewardship reports and/or periodic monitoring of Lab metrics

\xc2\xb7 Provide support during quality system audits (e.g. ISO 17025, ISO 9001) and implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions as needed

\xc2\xb7 Ensure data integrity in test result handling & reporting and quality system compliance

\xc2\xb7 Participate in the continuous improvements of the laboratory quality management system

\xc2\xb7 Any other work activities as assigned by Supervisor

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

\xc2\xb7 Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree

\xc2\xb7 Prior experience in the following industries will be an advantage:

o Oil & Gas (e.g. refinery)

o Commercial labs (e.g. Intertek (i.e. ITS), SGS, Inspectorate (i.e. BSI), Amspec, Saybolt, CCIC, Eurofins, ALS, etc)

o Petrochemicals

o Pharmaceuticals
