Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a well-known global commodity trader of metal and energy products in Singapore, looking to expand their minerals and metals department by the addition of a junior trader.
Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for traffic operations and liaise with logistics
• Deal with supply chain procedures including letters of credit, bill of lading, trade finance etc.
• Assist and work side by side senior traders on both operational and commercial tasks to develop trading activity
• Help manage buyer and supplier relationships to ensure all queries are met and deliveries are completed in a timely fashion
• Work with front office teams to develop skills when required
• Network with external counterparties to negotiate the rates and costs of freights
• Develop own network of suppliers across metals and minerals (Tin, Tungsten, Antimony, Magnesium etc.) throughout Asia

Experience:

• Possess 2+ years working in a trading house on metals/ minerals desk
• Have excellent knowledge/ exposure to supply chain procedures
• Have desire to grow own book of minor metals and concentrates across Asia
• Fluent in English, additional language beneficial
• Good understanding of trading operations across metals
