Direct Search Global is working with a multinational marine cargo compressor system supplier to fill the role of Key Account Manager in their Singapore office. They are a worldwide market leader in manufacturing and providing services that cover a full range of reciprocating compressor technologies and services.

Who should apply?

A marine sales/accounts executive with at least 4 years of experience in B2B sales strategy development and management. The suitable candidate must have the passion and hunger to learn new knowledge and skills in the Maritime industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage marine sales activities related to Very Large Gas Carries (VLGC), including but not limited to:
  • Maintaining cargo compressor and system auxiliaries with dry docking services
  • Maintaining spare parts, components, reconditioning compressor valve, supervising field services, refurbishing components, upgrading/revamping engineering parts, monitoring, and providing diagnostic of system.
  • Provide product training to customers.
  • Analyzing and understanding customer requirements to devise effective strategies for our proposals and offerings.
  • Actively visiting and approaching customers to grasp their needs, market trends, and competitor activities, and devising suitable strategies for customer visits.
  • Traveling to develop key customers within the South-East Asia region to expand the marine business.
  • Delivering technical sales presentations and providing application guidance.
  • Coordinating and preparing technical and commercial proposals for customers.
  • Collaborating with BC counterparts for appropriate support in dry-dock maintenance services and spare parts delivery.
  • Ensuring accurate capture, ordering, and invoicing of all service jobs and purchases in a timely manner.
  • Supporting, monitoring, and managing purchases to ensure they are ordered and delivered realistically and promptly.
  • Engaging in pre-sales and post-sales marketing activities/plans to grow the served market, develop new customers, and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Providing sales forecasts and market reports for the designated area of responsibility.
  • Collaborating closely with different departments/teams to achieve sales targets.
  • Participating in marketing, customer events, and exhibitions.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in B2B sales activities in the Maritime industry.
  • Diploma or Bachelor of Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • A good team player
