Job Summary As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible to lead and grow one of the key regional accounts in SEA. This role will be part of IFF Nourish commercial team in driving Snacks and Beverages category sales and pipelines in Singapore and Malaysia, with the goal to deliver growth and new business wins. The role will see you effectively collaborate with team in commercial, customer service, category leaders, innovation creation and design (IC&D), product management and marketing.How you will contribute and lead:This position is Singapore based and will report into Sales Leader Beverages \xe2\x80\x93 SEA, and will also report functionally into the Sales Leader Snacks \xe2\x80\x93 SEA on snacks business, key responsibilities are:

  • Drives the key account plan with technical, product management team and marketing to identify opportunities, strategies and action plans for growth acceleration;
  • Leads customer projects, ensures that project briefs are well executed and deliverables meet customers requirement and timeline. Manages IFF internal above market stakeholders to obtain supports for customer projects in various locations.
  • Be the IFF main contact point with the key account customer. Manage relationship with key stakeholders of the account to strengthen trust, visibility, engagement, and business pipelines. This role is expected to have effective regular customer communication between the customer and IFF thereby translating their needs and requirements into proposals.
  • Defends existing business, or identifies new business opportunities through innovation or proactive activities for pipelines creation. Captures these opportunities in CRM, follows through and converts them into new wins to gain market share profitably for the company.
  • Management of designated customers or partner distributor by forecasting, sampling, providing price quotations, price negotiation, following up of customer queries and handling of customer complaints - in accordance with IFF\xe2\x80\x99s procedures to deliver the expected customer sales service.
  • Monthly updating of call reports, opportunity management segmentation data, competitive information, and keep relevant internal stakeholders informed to optimize business opportunities
  • Provides a timely and accurate Activity Report to the Sales Leaders for inclusion in the SEA reporting requirements to effectively measure progress against agreed plans and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Works cooperatively with peers and leaders to ensure personal and company sales targets and performance measures are achieved and team-based culture fostered.
  • Maintain customer information and database related to the accounts. Partner with operation team and customer service team to ensure customer satisfactions in term of services and supply.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, Food Science, Food & Nutrition, Food Technology or any other relevant industry.
  • Experienced in managing a global or regional key account with proven capability in leading a cross-functional team in a B2B environment for projects and business growth.
  • At least 5-8 years experience in B2B sales and account management experience in flavors industry, food ingredients or food manufacturing.
  • The experience in snacks and seasonings category is required. Experience and knowledge in Beverage is advantage, ideally well connected in the industry.
  • Ability to assimilate commercial and/or technical information and communicate effectively to both customers and/or IFF team members
  • Proven track-record in account development and delivered growth in sales and pipelines.
  • Demonstrated \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude, positive approach to problem solving and flexible in being able to prioritize multiple tasks. Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate the respect for people.
  • Effective communication skills in English language both verbal and written.
