The Kitchen Assistant assists in food preparation. - Ensure that utensils and work areas are clean and ready for the next shift, all kitchen equipment and structures are kept and maintained in safe and good working order at all times.- Assist in stock take and storage of stock. - Comply with workplace safety and health policies and procedures.- Demonstrate basic knife skills.- Engage in service innovation initiatives.- Follow food and beverage safety and hygiene policies and procedures.- Maintain quality control procedures.- Maintain safe and secure working environment.- Prepare ingredients such as fish, seafood, meat, poultry, vegetables etc. for cooking.- Work in a team.
