We are looking for Kitchen Assistants to join our team! The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and be passionate about food preparation and cooking. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with our head chef to ensure that all food items are prepared and served to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, as well as ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. If you are a hard-working and dedicated individual with a love for cooking, we would love to hear from you!
- Assist the head chef in preparing food items for the menu.
- Follow standard recipes and procedures for food preparation and cooking.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including all food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Stock and maintain inventory levels of all necessary kitchen supplies.
- Assist with the organization and labeling of all food items in storage.
- Receive and unpack deliveries of food supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Participate in training programs and meetings as required.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen environment
- Food certification
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to follow established recipes and cooking procedures
- Experience using a variety of kitchen equipment, including knives, mixers, and ovens
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Willingness to learn and take direction from the head chef and other senior staff members
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
