Job Description

Prepare and portion food ingredients for cooking lessons; set up kitchen workstations.

Assist teachers and students during lessons; operate kitchen appliances safely.
Clean and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas; maintain overall kitchen hygiene.
Handle basic inventory, restocking, and verification of food orders.
Support lesson preparation, classroom setup, and other departmental activities.
Weekly deep cleaning of cookers, ovens, sinks, and refrigerators; manage perishable stock.
Requirement: * Minimum 2 years experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, or similar support roles; experience in schools preferred.
Skilled in ingredient handling, portioning, and basic cooking techniques
Knowledge of kitchen cleaning, equipment maintenance, and hygiene standards
Basic understanding of food safety principles
Able to operate standard kitchen appliances safely.
Duraton/ Working hours:
1 year contract (Option to extend another year) 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026)

Mondays to Fridays: 7:00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break or such working hours approved by the School.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
