About the L2 Engineer Role:
As a L2 Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco Data Centre and Cisco Nexus solutions. Your technical proficiency and attention to detail will be critical to ensuring the stability and efficiency of network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network solutions based on Cisco Data Centre and Cisco Nexus technologies
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus switches, routers, and other networking equipment
• Perform network upgrades and expansions to accommodate business growth and changing requirements
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimisation
• Resolve network-related incidents and problems promptly, ensuring minimal impact to operations
• Automate network operations using Python and scripting languages to improve operational efficiency
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, access control lists, and VPNs
• Conduct regular network performance and security audits, identifying areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for the resolution of complex network issues
• Work in 24/7 rotation shift to ensure maximum network uptime

To succeed in this role, you must have at least three years of experience as an L2 Network Engineer, specialising in Cisco Data Centres and Cisco Nexus.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification is advantageous
• At least three years of proven experience as an L2 Network Engineer, specialising in Cisco Data Centre and Cisco Nexus technologies
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and VRF
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible)
• Hands-on experience in deploying and managing Cisco Nexus switches, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as OpManager
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
