Job Description

• Basic up to $7000
• 5 days including weekend (Rostered)
• Working Hours: 8.30am - 6pm / 9.30am - 7pm, 12pm - 9.30pm / 1pm - 10.30pm (Afternoon Shift will be provided shift allowance)
• AWS + VB provided
• Location: Woodlands

Responsibilities:

• Determining the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspect of the company.
• Perform lab Financials planning, management and execution
• Oversee lab operation - Strategic goal planning and execution, and control, planning and management of laboratory operations
• Drive, define and accomplish capabilities uptaking
• Perform validation of results & report issuance (for signatory)
• Perform SOP review & write-up
• Plan method studies and tasks
• Plan & execute PT testing
• Lead by example
• Advocacy and enforcement of EHS, integrity, compliance and ethics
• Evaluate staff performance
• Manpower & resource management, control & hiring
• Escalation of lab issues & problems
• Liaison between lab and management
• Researching improvement ideas towards lab operations
• Spearhead improvement plans & execution
• Identifying and developing new areas of work and the corresponding test equipment required.
• Highlighting unusual results and referring them for further investigation.
• The interpretation of standards in accordance with operating manual.
• Supervising all work related to the section(s).
• Training and supervising all staff in the section(s).
• To conduct internal audits, QC checks, equipment maintenance & calibration, result entry & validation.
• Performing report issuance (for signatory), purchasing & inventory management, SOP review
• Ensuring that all equipment in the section(s) are calibrated in compliance to schedule.
• Ensuring that the requirements of SAC-SINGLAS in the field of bunker oil testing are met
• Oversight of all the testing in their respective laboratories
• Checking and signing of all appropriate reports issued by the laboratory.
• Discussing test results with customer as necessary.

Additional Information:

• At least 6 years working experience in laboratory
• Possesses SAC Singlas signatory and laboratory operation and management experience
