The Singapore lab testing and simulation team belongs to the system engineering department in Singapore. They use and maintain the Singapore CBTC Simulation Facility (aka CSF Lab), which is the first of its kind \xe2\x80\x93 a world class lab which fully replicates the Singapore North-South and East-West line signalling system in both hardware and software. It is a great asset for effective maintenance and upgrading of the system, as it is used for engineering work, training, and testing activities. This is an excellent place to build knowledge of CBTC systems for the urban rail industry.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

  • Get familiar with simulation facilities and grow up with knowledge of CBTC system
  • Deploy software at lab and make sure all units are up and running
  • Work with designer to do lab upgrading based on requirements
  • Perform in-house testing based on test plan provided
  • Analysis and troubleshoot for any lab issues
  • Send clear email reports upon work completion
  • Work with engineering team for simulation of any revenue issues
  • Coordinate with customer for lab usage to avoid any schedule clash
  • Support other engineering work when there is a need from project level


Who You Are:
  • BASc in Electrical, Computer, System Design Engineering or equivalent
  • Curious and willing to learn technical skills fast and on the fly
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Have strong communication skills to interface with customers and Thales personnel around the globe
  • Willingness to collaborate with teams overseas, which requires occasional evening calls
  • Good To Have:
    • Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, Ruby
    • Knowledge of windows, Linux operating system.
