Job Description
[What the role is] As a member of the Biology Division of the Applied Sciences Group, you will play a critical role in DNA profiling of reference samples for criminal investigation.
[What you will be working on]
- Perform DNA tests under the scientists' supervision.
- Assist scientists in developing/validating new technologies/methods.
- Assist in laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory, purchase of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies.
- Assist in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates and conduct of basic performance checking tests.
- Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent) is a must
- Successfully completed supervised laboratory research project in biochemistry/molecular biology area.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
