Job Description
What the role is:[What this role is]As a member of the Biology Division of the Applied Sciences Group, you will play a critical role in routine casework examinations in our laboratory and/or supporting ongoing research projects.[What you will be working on]
- Examination and DNA profiling on crime evidence.
- Participating in lab improvement/research projects, and to assist in developing/validating new technologies/methods.
- Supporting laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, procurement of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies.
- Adhering to stringent quality control and quality assurance protocols, and assisting in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates, conduct of basic performance checking tests.
- Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent) is a must
- Successfully completed supervised laboratory research in project in biochemistry, molecular biology area
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
- Collaborative team player with the capability to work independently, showcasing a proactive approach.
