HSA is a multidisciplinary authority. It serves as the national regulator for health products, ensuring they are wisely regulated to meet standards of safety, quality and efficacy. As the national blood service, it is responsible for providing a safe and adequate blood supply. It also applies specialised scientific, forensic, investigative and analytical capabilities in serving the administration of justice.

[What the role is:]

We are looking for a passionate individual to be part of the Blood Services Group (BSG), Patient Services Division. The appointee for this position will be a laboratory officer in the Red Cell Reference & Crossmatch lab team, which provides testing services for the national blood transfusion programme in Singapore.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:-

• To perform all tests and processes in the assigned laboratory in BSG, within set standard operating procedures and guidelines, with the objective of ensuring an efficient and safe national Transfusion and Transplant programme.
• To rotate for 24/7 on-call duty after office hours

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:-

• Relevant educational qualifications or background in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• Knowledgeable about basic laboratory practices and procedures, including safety requirements.
• Good laboratory technical skills.
• Familiar with basic computer skills.
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Willing to rotate for 24/7 on-call duty after office hour
