• Adecco is partnering with an international oil and gas company to search for a Laboratory Technician

The Opportunity

• Focus: Lab testing, Lab Quality Control, Operating and Safety Procedures
• Office location: West, Jurong Refinery
• Working hours: 5 days\' work (Monday - Friday) (40 Hours/week)

The Talent

• Min prefferably polytechnic graduate with the background in Chemical/Process/Technical Engineering.
• Experience in quality control systems
• Computer-literate.

The JobMAIN FUNCTIONSSupport/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in-process samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control. Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment. Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues. Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards. Position will receive direction and support.

• Responsible for performing laboratory analysis necessary for the completion of projects typically under the direction of Group Lead and/or in consultation with the Technical Advisor(s)
• Responsible for adhering to and managing quality control programs. This includes maintaining documentation of their experimental results and equipment maintenance and calibration whenever assigned by Group Lead
• Responsible for customer sample distribution process and associated activities to meet agreed turnaround time
• Periodic review and update lab quality and controls documents/procedures
• Responsible for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) setup for new and existing equipment
• Responsible for performing laboratory analysis necessary for the completion of projects typically under the direction of Group Lead and/or in consultation with the Technical Advisor(s) whenever assigned by Group Lead
• Support Group/Program Lead in defining strategies, experimental plan and scope of project. This includes defining test execution details such as coordination of support services (analytical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, purchasing, etc.)
• The Technician may lead smaller technical support projects in their area of expertise. Technician generally plan one\'s own work activities to meet defined project objectives and timetables.
• Any other duties as assigned by Group Lead
