What the role is:ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore\'s internal security and stability. For over 70 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. • Work independently on various local and/or foreign languages and various information sources, e.g. Internet and other media sources. \xe2\x80\xa2 Translate, transcribe, scan and analyse information in both written and spoken languages. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify information gaps and conduct checks to provide insights. \xe2\x80\xa2 Write clear, concise and accurate reports to support mission critical operations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with different data sets and communicate data-driven findings to stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 May be required to respond to operational exigencies over weekends and/or Public Holidays.

What we are looking for:

• Degree or equivalent competencies will be preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in English and respective mother tongue language is preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good grasp of spoken dialects/languages would be an added advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Basic proficiency in data analysis (Microsoft Excel and Power BI) preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Past experience in translation, investigative or analytical work preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
