The incumbent will be taking charge of the church\'s Mandarin Ministry.
:
1. Oversee and coordinate with fellow co-workers to provide pastoral care to the Mandarin-speaking congregation, including: a) home and hospital visits b) coordinate and organise the conduct of funeral wakes, memorial services 2. Oversee the pulpit, including planning with Pastor-in-Charge/Pastor on topics and speakers, and liaising with speakers 3. Provide leadership to the Mandarin Ministry EXCO in charting the direction of the congregation, in alignment with church direction, and executing the plans 4. Provide pastoral oversight to small group leaders, including a) communicate or disseminate church information to members through group leaders b) contact group leaders for ad-hoc activities c) source for new cell group resources / materials and d) train and prepare leaders for new cell groups 5. Collaborate with the other congregation and ministries e.g., English congregation, Youth Ministry, Children\'s Ministry, Outreach & Social Concerns etc. to synergise efforts and share resources 6. Editorial and translation works for speakers\xe2\x80\x99 PowerPoint slides, and other matters concerning Mandarin congregation
Requirement:
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Divinity or equivalent
- At least 8 years\' relevant experience in handling Mandarin services/congregation
- Strong interpersonal skills and ablility to communicate with all levels of people
- Has the passion and patience to work with elderly people
