Sense-make and support the capacity building needs of officers and teams in the public service, especially those doing policy and planning. This includes identifying their competency gaps.
Foster close relations with key stakeholders in government agencies, and policy and planning units.
Keep pace with related developments and identify emerging issues
Develop interventions and programmes to bridge competency gaps and oversee the implementation of the interventions and programmes. Nurture and expand communities of practice across the service
Undertake facilitation/moderation and note-taking, where necessary
Requirements:
3 years of experience in policy work in Public Service would be relevant.
Good analytical and communication skills
Ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders, and with local and international thought-leaders, practitioners and resource persons
Strong ability in planning, implementing and evaluating programmes with minimal supervision
Strong public speaking and facilitation skills are a bonus
