Job Description


What the role is:

Responsible for SDC POS and Cashier Office operation ensuring revenue are correctly accounted for.

What you will be working on:

1) Finance operations (efficiency & accuracy) \xe2\x80\xa2 Support Cashier Office function and resolve daily operational issues \xe2\x80\xa2 Support of ledger configuration for new product types in ticketing system \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure timely & accurate reconciliation to ticketing counter\'s and online portals daily sales against bank statement \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure timely & accurate GST reconciliation relating to POS \xe2\x80\xa2 Review cashier office daily cash collection, cancelled tickets printed and miscellaneous receipt \xe2\x80\xa2 Checking of ad hoc credit card refund for counters and online portals \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure timely update of SOP \xe2\x80\xa2 Managing brinks and operations support 2) Compliance \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that Financial Instructions Manual, Accounting Standards, Financial policies and all relevant statutory requirements (including IRAS GST policies), and procedures for financial matters are adhered to. 3) Business partnering \xe2\x80\xa2 Engage with internal stakeholders (business units) in all POS matters \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with all parties, including auditors. 4) IT/system impact on Finance matters \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in IT related projects and system development from finance perspective to ensure financial reporting requirements and back-end support are taken into consideration. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement within financial processes

What we are looking for:

  • Diploma in Accountancy/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3-4 years of relevant experience of finance or accounting experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical and meticulous with an eye for details \xe2\x80\xa2 Good problem solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Sense of initiative and responsibility with the ability to work with minimal supervision \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work in dynamic environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Well versed in accounting standards and internal controls \xe2\x80\xa2 Well versed in using various computerized accounting systems and familiar with ERP applications e.g. Oracle \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient with MS Office especially Excel
