We are looking for a Lead application engineer who will be responsible for developing system applications on heating and cooling, such as HVAC, heat pump systems, and water system management for these Agri-Tech Environments. This person will be a member of the Global Applications Innovation team within Danfoss Climate Solutions (DCS) Sales and will report directly to the Global Director of Alternative Food Production.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Leads in the design of applications for vertical farming and recirculated aquaculture systems
• Calculates HVAC system loads, psychrometric analysis, energy modelling, irrigation flow of the proposed systems for the vertical farming market
• Calculates HVAC, heat pump life cycle cost analysis and benchmarks to next best alternative
• Leads in the preparation of sketches, layouts, and preliminary costing of different system designs
• Manages system tests, in house or at the customers facility in line with the application project requirements to a successful outcome
• Delivers a detailed understanding of the sustainable energy targets across the alternative food production space and applies this within the system designs.
• Manages the coordination with sales, business development functions and customers for specifications, lead-times, and costs for the completion of application projects
• Builds credibility by evaluating up-to-date thinking and applying this to customers problems
• Connects with a broad set of stakeholders both internally and externally to understand key market and application shifts, as well as opportunities
• Creates conceptual presentations to deliver internal and external trainings

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Mechanical Engineering Degree, Technical Degree in an HVAC, related field, or equivalent HVAC Industry
• Minimum 5 years HVAC Mechanical application and refrigeration systems experience within the Building Climate Control is required. Experience within the vertical farming or aquaculture market is preferred.
• Demonstrable background working within the HVAC Plant industry, with the ability to interpret P&ID drawings
• Apply critical thinking to trouble shoot, multitask, prioritize activities, and effectively manage these tasks across a matrix organisation
• High level influence- and consensus-building skills, with strong oral and written communication, presentation skills and very good listening competencies.
• Able to work within stakeholders to develop and prepare specific project strategies and co deliver compelling business cases to decision-makers and internal management to achieve value-added results \xe2\x80\x93 profitable growth
• Travel to support customer meetings is required across ASIA. International travel maybe required periodically
