By leveraging a pool of technology platforms, know-how, intellectual property and a vast array of R&D and manufacturing capabilities in Vaccines and Biologics, Hilleman Laboratories will be able to harness the maximum potential of its existing and future programs when applied across vaccine product development initiatives in partnership with public and private partners locally in Singapore and across a rich network of collaborators and stakeholders, globally.
Reporting to the VP, Global Head Business Development, Alliance Management and External R&D, he/she will be tasked to lead strategic partnering, business development and alliance management projects across the entire spectrum of vaccine development, manufacturing, and commercial activities.
This role will be a key liaison and the \xe2\x80\x9cface of Hilleman Laboratories\xe2\x80\x9d in the Singapore rich biomedical ecosystem composed of public and privately funded institutions doing basic and applied research in addition to product developers, manufacturers and technology and service providers.
Responsibilities:
Leads Business Development and Alliance Management activities with a strong focus on activities in Singapore.
Identifies points of entry with prospective partners, then prospects, secures, designs, develops and implements business and alliance strategies to execute on external partnering objectives of the program
Supports the execution of Hilleman Laboratories R&D Strategy Roadmap through the management of selected partnerships, proof of concept projects through in-licensing and other licensing activities
Actively engages and nurtures key external relationships to establish a trusting environment with Hilleman Laboratories partners to derive maximum value and potential
Assists in the management and evaluation of potential assets through due diligence activities in collaboration with cross functional team members
Assists the VP, Global Head of Business Development, Alliance Management and External R&D in the preparation of transactional and financial term sheets, drafting, reviewing and executing collaboration and partnership agreements agreement
Serves as the internal specialist for the organization on established partnerships\xe2\x80\x99 strategies, history, collaboration\xe2\x80\x99s goals, partnership progress and alliance obligations.
Co-leads with assigned technical leads in program/alliance teams towards meeting milestones, datelines and strategic goals
Leads on issues (typically cross-functional) that require alliance consensus by gaining internal cross functional Hilleman Laboratories alignment and driving to resolution with the partner
Leads aspects of the governance activities of the partnerships, including preparation for internal stage-gating reviews, participating in Steering Committees that are formed, ensuring reporting obligations are met, and milestones are continuously tracked
Supports the VP, Global Head Business Development, Alliance Management and External R&D in maintaining a broad network of relationships, both internally and externally
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical experience with exposure to both R&D and Business Development/Commercial activities, plus an advanced degree in Life Sciences (M.D., Ph.D., M.Sc.), additional M.B.A preferred.
Professional attitude with a proven track record of business development and alliance management in the Pharmaceutical industry
Excellent prospecting, networking, persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills.
A track record of bringing in new external partnerships, projects, opportunities, holding relevant partner relationships, coordinating external activities and successfully completing projects.
A true business leader, who is not afraid to take a hands-on approach to support a growing team with a clear global health vision and mission and an ambition to grow fast.
