As a Health & Benefits Consultant you will be primarily responsible for developing new business, leading and delivering large, strategic client engagements and serving as strategic advisor to clients in your areas of subject matter expertise. You'll also be asked to contribute your thought leadership to the overall development of the Health & Benefits business.



Performance Objectives:

Financial


Primary responsibility for identifying, prospecting and closing new business in order to achieve annual revenue goals (if applicable) Identify and target appropriate client segmentation to develop sales value proposition, adopt solution-based sales approach to win new clients (if applicable) Coordinate with existing sales and Account Management teams to identify, develop and close strategic sales opportunities Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize the penetration of key target accounts

Clients


Lead and manage multiple client engagements Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients Deliver Health Consulting client engagements Develop and deliver large Health consulting projects Ensure progress against established budget, timeline and quality standards

Excellence


Serve as senior Benefits Consulting (BC) strategist on projects, ensuring that BC strategy fits within overall benefits strategy Perform technical review of work products Contribute to the development of new Health Consulting tools and approaches

People


Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams Be the Advisory and Health champions and go-to-expert in matters relating to Health and Benefits consulting (if applicable) Lead and manage the analyst team resources

Qualifications

The Requirements



Experience and success in the design/management of group health plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment; prior experience in underwriting or in an actuarial function gained in a carrier and/or managed care environment preferred Track record of success in managing large client relationships will be an advantage Experience in managing multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges Polished and well developed written and oral communication skills Ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in Health & Benefits plan strategy and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches An undergraduate degree is required
